Mrs. Uma Suresh Prabhu, Chairperson of MSVS, visited Sami-Sabinsa Corporate Office in August 2021 to initiate and discuss the programme with the Sami-Sabinsa Management Team prior to the signing of the MoU.
Sami-Sabinsa Group has signed a landmark MoU with Manav Sadhan Vikas Sanstha (MSVS) for the plantation of Garcinia indica in April 2022. As part of the collaboration, a demonstration plot will be developed in the Konkan region to cultivate Garcinia indica. Traditionally, the juice from this fruit-bearing plant is used as a natural remedy for stomach and liver disorders and Sami-Sabinsa is eyeing a large-scale plantation of this plant, based on the success of the trial cultivations.
